What happened to GSD Skincare?

I co-founded GSD Skincare in 2021, building on over 20+ years of experience helping my clients achieve real, lasting skin transformations at my clinic in Melbourne. Through a results-driven approach combining advanced treatments and our signature range of cosmeceuticals, GSD quickly became a trusted name in skincare.

In 2025, my business partner and I decided to pursue different paths. This shift gave me the opportunity to rebrand GSD as LumeCeuticals—a new chapter, but with the same commitment to results focused, intelligent, clinical-grade skincare.

If you’re a GSD lover, you’ll notice the familiar product names and packaging. Rest assured, the formulas you know and love remain unchanged. I’m still proudly working with the same trusted compounding chemist in Sydney.

In the coming months, you’ll see exciting updates, including brand-new product launches I’ve been developing behind the scenes for over a year. I can't wait to share them with you.

Why are anti-inflammatory ingredients important?

All skin concerns start with inflammation.

Our potent anti-inflammatory ingredients calm inflammation and help prevent and even reverse signs of ageing, breakouts, sensitivity, and sun damage. Strengthening and restoring your skin back to healthy, so you can start to introduce more active ingredients.

Are your products vegan?

All my products are vegan, except for a few that contain honey for its potent anti-inflammatory properties. Please refer to each product page for more information.

How long will my skincare last?

With single daily use you can expect:
• 30ml serums: 2–3 months
• 50ml moisturisers: 3–4 months
• 100ml cleansers: 2–3 months
• Reset Kit: 4–6 weeks

However, some days you'll find that you need an extra pump, and the difference between that extra pump every morning and every night can halve the expected use.

What’s the shelf life of your skincare?

All Australian skincare products must have a shelf life, unopened for 2 years.

However, I only ever order small batches from Sydney, so that I never have skincare in storage for very long.

Once opened my active cosmeceutical products are best used within 6 months, to ensure their potency and maximum efficacy.

Plus, most of my products are in opaque, airless pumps, to maintain their potency.

I have sensitive skin and struggle using skincare.

After more than 20 years in the skin industry, this is the single most common question I hear, so you are not alone.

The good news is, usually, this is actually very easily fixed with the correct knowledge, routine and skincare - the trifecta. However, buying skincare online is tricky, so that's where I come in, reach out to me at lumeceuticals@gmail.com, as I love all things skin and skin care and I love a good transformation.

Can I go in the sun while using LumeCeuticals?

Yes, but unprotected sun exposure is never safe.

Always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen and slip, slop, slap, seek.

All of our exfoliating products can increase sun sensitivity—extra sun care is essential when using them.

Do you offer sunscreen?

Not yet—but it’s in development! In the meantime, pair my products with your favourite SPF for full protection. Anything SPF15 or higher is sufficient, and don't forget to reapply.

Can I use LumeCeuticals with other skincare brands?

Yes and no, you'll need to check that you aren't doubling up on active ingredients like, vitamin a, and exfoliants.

Sometimes less is more, for best results I recommend using our products together to maximise their synergistic effects.

Why does a product sting when I apply it?

There are many reasons why a product may sting:
Is the stinging all over, or just on a localised area?
Is the product meant to tingle - see the usage instructions, and if so, does the stinging subside after 3 minutes?

Prolonged stinging, itching and flusing may be caused by:

  • Dry or compromised skin barrier
  • Recent extreme weather changes / exposure
  • Sensitivity or an ingredient allergy
  • Overuse or incorrect use

If this happens, please contact me at lumeceuticals@gmail.com. Make sure you also immediately pause use of the product that is causing the irritation and focus on products that soothe and hydrate for 1–2 weeks before reintroducing.

I’ve reacted to products before. What should I do?

Check the ingredient list first.
If unsure, reach out to me first, at lumeceuticals@gmail.com with past reactions, sensitivities etc and together we'll build a safe skincare plan.

Is LumeCeuticals suitable for teenagers with breakouts?

Absolutely! The Reset Intro Kit is ideal to kick-start healthy skin habits. For oily or breakout-prone skin, I recommend adding Polished, our exfoliating power cleanser.

I'm pregnant—can I use your products?

Most of my products are pregnancy-safe, including the range of vitamin A serums as we use Retinaldehyde. However, I do not recommend using Accelerate, Accelerate+ or Polished while pregnant or breastfeeding, as these products contain Salicylic Acid. If you are unsure, always check with your physician.

Can men use LumeCeuticals?

Yes! Skincare has no gender. Men’s skin benefits just as much from our anti-inflammatory, age-defying, pimple fighting, sun-damagae reducing and skin strengthening formulas.

Can I use LumeCeuticals around my eyes?

Yes, many of my products I apply over or very near to my eye area. Please refer to each products usage instructions for further information specific to that product.

As a general rule, avoid using exfoliating products like, Accelerate, Revitalise and Polished around or too close to the eye area.

For sensitive eyes, patch test first and see my range of eye specific products.
